Jan Bosveld

Jan Bosveld was born in Rheden, The Netherlands, on the 5th of February 1963. He received his first music lessons from his grandfather who was a very fine bugler in the local band. At the young age of 15, Jan Bosveld wrote his first “composition” for this band. After following a technical education he studied trumpet and conducting for wind orchestra at the Conservatory in Arnhem. During his studies he made many arrangements, the majority being for wind orchestra and brass band. Presently, Jan Bosveld has written more than one hundred and sixty arrangements and thirty five compositions. His compositions are published by "Stormworks® Europe", "de Haske Music Publications" and "Gobelin Music Publications"
Besides composing, Jan conducts a wind orchestra, a brass band and is very active as a guest conductor, lecturer and jury member.
